Cal Concrete was founded in 2016 in Wagga Wagga NSW, when the 25yr old director Callam Collins better known as Cal, noticed a gap in the market of premixed concrete.

In the next 3 years Cals company grew quite quickly as he progressed to owning and

dry hiring out largescale equipment to assist with on-site batching of concrete while

also continuing to offer a broad range of concrete services.

In 2019 Cal and his partner Megan moved to Townsville as it was a joint aspiration to leave their hometown in country NSW in search of more opportunity, and adventure.

Cal was moving in leaps and bounds with his company, he was gaining a solid reputation as he worked tiresly providing concrete services to the NQ region. He was well respected amongst his workers and clients.

Providing for his family was what fueled him each day, and his forward thinking when he was alive has left Megan with an opportunity to continue to provide for their family with this innovative product-

THE VISION OF CAL

Cal was more than just a concretor he was an innovator.

He was a remarkable young man. A quiet achiever, with an active mind- a forward thinker.

In his early 20’s he was often found in a shed he rented out in Wagga, using his cnc machine, he enjoyed creating designs out of all materials but concrete was the craft he decided to pursue.

He always had countless projects on the go, and had the attitude- that anything is possible, the services Cal Concrete was providing whilst he was still alive clearly reflected this.

Cal was constantly searching for solutions on how to improve challenges faced by himself and others on job sites, and that is how the Cal. Bracket idea was born.

Now, concreters everywhere can benefit from his problem-solving mindset and dedication to the trade.

Continuing the legacy..

Sadly, Cal passed away unexpectedly in November 2022 at age 31.

Due to the sudden passing of Cal, Megan has since had to discontinue many of the concrete services the company was providing.

Cal Concrete continues today under the leadership of Megan, who is dedicated in carrying on his legacy for their daughters and continuing to provide for their family.
